ELKO, NEVADA
JOINS THE BIG FIVE
Elko, Nevada
has in five years managed to join the five most active states on
the POW/MIA Issue. Elko now joins Idaho, Michigan, Ohio, New Jersey and
Georgia as the most active and successful in Public
Awareness. The POW/MIA Elko Awareness Association has
galvanized the support of their entire community behind the Issue in
support of the National League of POW/MIA Families. At a February
event held by the Association, they raised a record amount in
fundraising to benefit the League. Elko has done what
normally takes an entire state to accomplish. Thank You
Elko and welcome to our family.
"I wish I could always write each one of you individually. Please
just know that we so appreciate each and every one of you and your prayers
and support. We especially want to thank you for always praying for Bowe
as he doesn't have the physical support you give us, only the spiritual.
But he's doing well because of your prayers. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!"

"The Missing in America Project is an avid supporter
of the POW*MIA Elko Awareness Association. We are proud to partner with
them on all Veterans issues and specifically in supporting them in
requesting that Nevada fly the POW*MIA flag at the Capital and across the
state. We also rely on them to be the action arm of MIAP for all
funerals and honors necessary for our unclaimed veterans that are
languishing on shelves. Please honor any and all requests from them as
speaking for the Missing in America Veterans Recovery Program a national
nonprofit 501 (c ) (3)."
